Dundee United accepted a bid from Sigma Olomouc for 25-year-old Irish defender Will Ferry, reportedly for around £1.7 million, but the player declined the move. The accepted offer was one of two from the Czech club in July 2026, with another bid of approximately €2.1 million also accepted. This followed previously rejected offers of €1 million and £1 million in June 2026. Ferry, who has one cap for Ireland, joined the club in July 2024 and is under contract until June 2027. Several other clubs have been linked with a potential transfer for the player, including Schalke 04 and Anderlecht. His current market value is listed by Transfermarkt at €1.2 million.
