Palmeiras, Flamengo, and Internacional are interested in signing Southampton's 25-year-old Brazilian defender Welington. The left-back has received limited playing time, making only 17 Championship appearances this season due to the strong performances of Ryan Manning. Welington, who developed at São Paulo, joined Southampton on a free transfer in January 2025 on a contract that runs until at least 2027 with an option for an additional year. A transfer could happen before his contract is finished. The defender has one cap for the Brazil U23 team and his current market value is €3.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
