The future of current goalkeeper Yéhvann Diouf is uncertain, and OGC Nice are reportedly exploring the market for a potential replacement and are seriously considering a return for Walter Benítez. The 33-year-old Argentine international could be released from his contract at Crystal Palace and might be willing to make financial concessions to facilitate a move back to the French club. Benítez joined the Premier League club in July 2025 and his contract runs until 2028. The goalkeeper has one cap for his country. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €4.00m.
