Portsmouth and Charlton Athletic are pursuing Burton Albion forward Tyrese Shade. Burton boss Gary Bowyer has confirmed that it is more likely than not that the player will depart before the transfer window closes on 1 September. Lincoln City are also reportedly interested in a deal for the forward. Bowyer expects a few offers to arrive for Shade in the next couple of weeks. According to the BBC, Bowyer stated that he looks forward to receiving several bids in the next three weeks or so. He added that Burton will have to replace Shade and also bring in another one or two players in that position.

It is reported that Portsmouth are interested in signing Burton Albion's 26-year-old winger, Tyrese Shade, a St. Kitts & Nevis international for whom Lincoln City has already had a bid rejected. Shade has 9 caps for his country, joined Burton Albion in July 2025, and his contract runs until June 2027. According to reports in August 2026, Lincoln City had multiple bids of approximately €2.4 million rejected. His current market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €250k.
