Ajax is reportedly one of several clubs targeting Troy Parrott, a 24-year-old striker for AZ Alkmaar and the Republic of Ireland. The forward is valued at approximately €25m and is also said to be attracting interest from Napoli, Real Betis, and Bayer Leverkusen. Parrott's former club, Tottenham Hotspur, could also be in contention. A club source, Alasdair Gold, has said that the player would be keen on a return. Parrott joined the Dutch club in July 2024, is under contract until June 2029, and has scored 4 goals with 3 assists in 15 Eredivisie appearances this season. The forward has earned 35 caps and scored 11 goals for his country. AZ Alkmaar reportedly rejected an €18 million bid from VfL Wolfsburg in the summer of 2025. The club's asking price has since been consistently reported to be in the €25 million to €30 million range.
