Olympiakos was reportedly prepared to pay €3.5 million, approximately 21 million reals, for 25-year-old Argentine winger Tomás Cuello, but Atlético Mineiro blocked the transfer. The Brazilian club deemed the offer too low and also recently rejected interest from the Turkish club Beşiktaş for the player. Additionally, Atlético Mineiro's coach, Jorge Sampaoli, considers Cuello a fundamental part of his plans and prohibited his departure abroad. According to RTI, Atlético Mineiro has completely ruled out any possibility of selling the player during this transfer window, a decision that is supported by Sampaoli. The player's contract runs until the end of 2028, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €7 million.
