According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea was one of several Premier League clubs to make an approach for Tom Atcheson before the transfer deadline. Blackburn Rovers resisted Chelsea's approach and were not prepared to consider the interest. TEAMtalk also reported that Manchester City, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Sunderland, and Crystal Palace made enquiries for Atcheson.
