According to Pete O’Rourke, speaking to Football Insider, Brentford has been mentioned as a club interested in Lecce's 20-year-old Portuguese defender, Tiago Gabriel. O'Rourke confirmed that West Ham United have also looked at the player, but noted that reports in Italy suggest Juventus are currently the leading contenders to sign him. Gabriel joined Lecce in January 2025 and his contract runs until June 2027. The Portugal U21 international has made 14 appearances and scored one goal in Serie A this season, and his current market value is €3.00m according to Transfermarkt.
