It is understood that Brentford are one of several Premier League clubs that have been watching Strasbourg attacker Gessime Yassine closely this season. Brighton, Newcastle United, Sunderland, Everton, and Nottingham Forest are also monitoring the 20-year-old Moroccan international winger. Despite the growing interest, Chelsea is in a strong position to influence his future due to the BlueCo ownership group's relationship with Strasbourg. Yassine is comfortable with the prospect of an eventual move to the west London club, which has a long-term plan for him and may look to bring him to Stamford Bridge in 2027 or later. Yassine, who has 9 caps and 1 goal for Morocco, joined Strasbourg in January 2026 for a reported fee of €7 million and his contract runs until 2030. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €20.00m.
