Olympique Lyonnais has started negotiations with Bologna for centre-forward Thijs Dallinga, as the French club is aiming to strengthen its squad in the current transfer window. Following a previous note on January 18th that two foreign clubs had approached Bologna, Olympique Lyonnais has now been identified as a potential new club for the 25-year-old Dutch player. The current level of advancement in the talks is unclear, as is what Bologna's asking price might be for the player, whom they acquired from Toulouse in 2024 for fifteen million euros. Dallinga has one cap for the Netherlands and is under contract with the Italian club until June 2028. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €12.00m. In 16 appearances during the current Serie A season, he has scored one goal and provided three assists. Valencia and Ipswich Town have also been recently linked with the striker, in addition to the interest from Lyon. Bologna reportedly rejected offers for the player of approximately €20 million from both Lens and Rennes in August 2025.
