Theo Bergvall Transfer from Djurgården to Lausanne Sport

Theo Bergvall has transferred from Djurgarden to Lausanne. The club from the canton of Vaud signed the 21-year-old defender to a contract that runs until 2029. Details about the transfer fee arrangements were not disclosed by Lausanne.

According to Swedish outlet Aftonbladet, defender Theo Bergvall was nearing an agreement with Go Ahead Eagles, with only final details to be settled. However, FC Lausanne-Sport emerged as an option and Theo Bergvall ultimately chose to move to the Swiss club. The transfer was announced by Djurgårdens IF on Monday morning. Bergvall said in a farewell message to Djurgårdens IF that he will miss the club and anticipates playing in a new European environment.

Theo Bergvall received permission from Djurgården to visit other clubs, which is why he was absent from training earlier in the week and missed the match at Bosön. Sporting director Bosse Andersson stated that the two clubs Bergvall has permission to visit are Go Ahead Eagles and Lausanne. Andersson added that the club will provide more information when it becomes available. The player is a 21-year-old Swedish right-back who has a contract with Djurgården that runs until December 31, 2026, and he has been capped once for the Sweden U21 team. Reports in January 2026 indicated that Djurgården has a required fee of €500,000 for the player.
