Thalys leaving Palmeiras?
According to Marca, the transfer of Thalys Henrique to Almería from Palmeiras has been officially confirmed. The club announced that Thalys Henrique has joined them from Palmeiras for a fee of 6 million euros, securing 100% of the player's rights. It was reported that the São Paulo club would retain 20% of the profit from any future sale of the player. The 20-year-old striker has signed a contract with Almería for six seasons, which will last until 2031, after he arrived on Sunday and passed his medical examination earlier this morning. Thalys was registered with LaLiga at approximately 10:30 AM with provisional validation, which was finalized in the afternoon prior to the official announcement of his signing. The Brazilian striker is expected to be available for selection this Sunday for the home match against Racing de Santander, wearing the number 9 shirt. Thalys joins Almería having played only 13 matches in the Brazilian professional league, in which he scored two goals, but he boasts an impressive scoring record in the under-20 team, netting 32 goals in 46 matches last season.
Thalys' agents mentioned that there has been a proposal for the 20-year-old Brazilian forward, but nothing is certain yet. They are analyzing the situation to make the best decision. Thalys expressed his admiration for Palmeiras, calling it a giant club. He also mentioned his dream of possibly moving to Europe, but also acknowledged his happiness and achievements at Palmeiras. His contract with the Brazilian club runs until the end of 2029, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.00m. Olympiakos Piraeus and Almería have been reported as interested clubs.
