Lazio values Castellanos at a minimum of 40 million euros, and there is limited potential for negotiation.

According to Tuttomercato, Valentin Castellanos has never seriously considered a potential move to Flamengo.

Valentin Castellanos is currently playing for Lazio and is open to a transfer to Flamengo. The Argentine player scored 14 goals in 40 appearances last season. Flamengo has intensified their interest, and a meeting between Castellanos, his entourage, and Lazio's president Claudio Lotito is expected to convince Lazio to allow the transfer to Brazil.

Flamengo expressed interest in Valentin Castellanos and was prepared to propose an official offer exceeding 25 million euros. Nevertheless, Lazio, constrained by a transfer market restriction that prevents them from registering new players and depending on Castellanos as one of their two available strikers, firmly turned down the proposal. The club, which is currently facing protests in Rome against the management of president Claudio Lotito, stated that Castellanos was non-transferable even for highly tempting offers. With Castellanos and Dia being their only available strikers, Lazio highlighted their necessity to keep both players to remain competitive until the transfer window reopens in January.
