Svante Ingelsson Transfer from Sheffield Wednesday to West Bromwich Albion
West Brom are reportedly planning a late attempt to sign Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Svante Ingelsson, competing with Portsmouth and Millwall to sign him as a 7pm deadline approaches. It is believed that West Brom are keen on securing a deal valued at around £500,000, but would need to offer a contract considered to be decent to persuade the 27-year-old Swede to join the club, with West Brom's financial constraints being a key factor. Ingelsson, who joined Wednesday in July 2024, has made 28 appearances and scored one goal in the Championship this season and has also been linked with Stoke City and Derby County. In January 2026, Wednesday reportedly rejected several offers for the midfielder, which included an initial £300,000 bid and a subsequent seven-figure offer from Millwall. Ingelsson has 14 caps for Sweden's U21 team, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.00m.
