Tim Jerat, the agent of Soufiane El-Faouzi, confirmed to Florian Plettenberg that there is interest from several clubs but ruled out a departure during the next transfer window, stating that Soufiane is very comfortable at Schalke and has only recently arrived.

According to Sky, Borussia Dortmund is among the clubs interested in El-Faouzi's development; however, the club apparently does not have an opportunity to sign him. Without naming Borussia Dortmund, El-Faouzi's agent Tim Jerat commented on the rumour, stating that Soufiane would not do anything that does not feel right for a Schalke player. The agent added that the player feels completely comfortable at Schalke and has recently arrived.

According to Africafoot, Borussia Dortmund is monitoring 23-year-old German-Moroccan midfielder Soufiane El-Faouzi. The Schalke 04 player, who competes in Bundesliga 2, joined his current club during the last summer transfer window for a fee of 200,000 euros. His performances, including three assists in 11 league matches, have reportedly attracted the interest of European scouts. Borussia Dortmund, who are often looking for young talent, may decide to attempt to sign El-Faouzi in the near future. His contract with Schalke runs until June 2029, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.50m.
