Coventry are the leading club in the effort to sign the winger, with a potential fee mentioned as being around €25m (£22m). This would significantly surpass the club's current record of approximately £8m, which was set in 2000 for Craig Bellamy. Fulham and Sunderland are also interested, but it is reported that the newly-promoted side has the most serious interest in Thomas.
