Simon Banza Transfer from Sporting Braga to Al Jazira
According to L’Equipe, Simon Banza is going to become the most expensive signing in the history of Al Jazira. The transfer amount is approximately 10 million euros. Al Jazira is owned by Cheick Mansour, who is also the owner of Manchester City.
Al Jazira had shown a willingness to offer 9 million euros for Simon Banza, but the striker expressed his reluctance to move there. The 29-year-old Congolese international, who was trained at Lens and moved to Braga in 2022, is no longer wanted at Braga despite having a contract that runs until 2027 with a release clause of €40 million. Despite his loan to Trabzonspor last season, where he achieved an impressive record of 22 goals in 37 matches, Banza is contemplating a return to Lens. However, an agreement between the clubs has not yet been reached, and with the transfer window nearing its closure, time is becoming a critical factor; Banza's market value is currently estimated by Transfermarkt at €14 million.
