According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Serhou Guirassy would be available for a sum of 50 million euros due to his release clause. This clause applies only to a select group of seven clubs: Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Barcelona. The German journalist reports that this clause could be triggered as early as the January transfer window. Serhou Guirassy's salary in Germany is 9,430,000 euros per year, his contract runs until June 2028, and his value is estimated at 45 million euros.
Five teams, including Manchester City, are already in contact with Serhou Guirassy's entourage.
According to TEAMtalk, Serhou Guirassy is considering his options ahead of the January transfer window. Guirassy is receiving interest because of a release clause in his contract. Manchester City are among the clubs that could be given the opportunity to sign Guirassy, as they want more rotational depth behind Erling Haaland.
According to the German outlet Bild, Serhou Guirassy's contract with Dortmund includes an unusual exit clause applicable only to certain elite clubs, and Manchester City is one of the sides that can activate it. Guirassy's reported base salary is €181,000, and his representatives are aware that he could get a significant salary increase by joining one of those clubs. The player from Guinea was available for €75m in the summer, and his release clause is set to decrease by €25m in 2026.
