Sunderland have reportedly opened direct talks with Santiago Gimenez’s agent to explore a paid loan deal that includes an obligation to buy if certain performance clauses are met. Milan are reportedly open to Gimenez leaving if an offer allows them to recover most of their investment and sign a new centre-forward. According to Calciomercato, Sunderland have made the first move among interested parties, which also includes fellow Premier League club Brentford.
