Santiago Giménez Transfer from Milan to Sunderland
Reports from Italy state that AC Milan's management has approved Sunderland's offer for Santiago Gimenez. The structure of the deal is a six-month loan with a mandatory buy clause of 30 million euros. Gimenez is hesitant to move to the Premier League, and his agent, Rafaela Pimenta, is in formal negotiations with Sunderland.
Sunderland are preparing a €30 million (£26m) offer for AC Milan striker Santiago Gimenez. Reports in Italy claim this offer has satisfied the AC Milan hierarchy. The club is ready to accept a loan-with-obligation deal in January. Sunderland are now working to convince the hesitant Mexico international to join them.
Sunderland have reportedly opened direct talks with Santiago Gimenez’s agent to explore a paid loan deal that includes an obligation to buy if certain performance clauses are met. Milan are reportedly open to Gimenez leaving if an offer allows them to recover most of their investment and sign a new centre-forward. According to Calciomercato, Sunderland have made the first move among interested parties, which also includes fellow Premier League club Brentford.
