According to Tuttomercato, Lazio are interested in signing Santiago Gimenez to strengthen their attack. Gennaro Gattuso has reportedly identified the Mexican as an ideal addition. For a permanent deal, Lazio would need to sell both Dia and Noslin to raise the approximately 20 million euros required by Milan. Milan's aim is to avoid a capital loss on the player. Gimenez's current gross salary of about 5 million euros per season is considered too high for Lazio; however, the club might attempt to convince him with a five-year contract worth around 4 million gross per season. A paid loan with an option to buy is an alternative, which could involve Milan covering part of his salary for the first year.

Lazio's main target for a new striker is 25-year-old Santiago Giménez, who could potentially leave Milan.
