RB Leipzig has come to an understanding with the 23-year-old Brazilian striker Rômulo regarding a potential collaboration. In the previous season, Rômulo impressed with his performance, scoring 17 goals and providing ten assists for Göztepe. However, a formal agreement with the Turkish club has not yet been reached. Göztepe is reportedly demanding between 25 to 30 million euros, whereas RB Leipzig is looking to secure the deal for under 20 million euros, as reported by 'Sky'. To proceed with the transfer, RB Leipzig needs to facilitate the sales of certain players to make room for Rômulo's arrival. Possible outgoing transfers include Xavi Simons, who is reportedly in advanced negotiations with FC Chelsea, and Benjamin Sesko, who is attracting interest from Newcastle United. Furthermore, the club is considering the possibility of removing Timo Werner and André Silva from their wage bill. Rômulo is contracted with Göztepe until June 2028, with his market value estimated at €11 million by Transfermarkt. Additionally, Fenerbahçe and Feyenoord have also shown interest in the player.
