A month earlier, in June 2026, his market value was estimated by Transfermarkt at €30 million. This follows his completed transfer from Göztepe to RB Leipzig in August 2025 for a reported base fee of €20 million, potentially rising to €25 million with bonuses. Prior to that move, in July 2025, Göztepe's asking price was reportedly between €25 and €30 million. Earlier in 2025, Göztepe reportedly asked Fenerbahçe for €15 million (June), Galatasaray was willing to pay €10 million (May), and a €7 million bid from Feyenoord was rejected (May). Göztepe had permanently signed him for €2.5 million in January 2025.
