Romeo Vermant Transfer from Club Brugge to VfB Stuttgart
Romeo Vermant is linked to Stuttgart, which is searching for a replacement for Nick Woltemade. Various sources in Germany state that Vermant remains a candidate for the position at Stuttgart, although he is not the only one considered. It is reported that Stuttgart wants to act in January following the situation with Hyeon-gyu Oh from KRC Genk.
In recent months, Romeo Vermant had been mentioned as an interesting option for VfB Stuttgart. However, according to BILD, he is ultimately not on the club's wishlist.
Voetbalnieuws.be reports that Stuttgart has an explicit interest in Romeo Vermant. The report states that Club Brugge will only enter discussions for what are described as exceptionally high prices, and suggests that conversations would likely not start for a fee under €8 million. According to the report, the expected range is between €12–20 million, supplemented with performance-based clauses. Vermant is the first striker for Club Brugge. It is not clear whether a potential transfer would occur in the winter or the summer.
Belgian striker Romeo Vermant, 21, has recently been linked with a move to VfB Stuttgart, and the striker has also revealed that interested clubs from the Bundesliga are contacting him. In an interview with Het Nieuwsblad, the Gelsenkirchen-born player mentioned that his German background was something that appealed to these potential suitors. He also admitted that he dreams of one day playing in the country. Vermant, who extended his contract last summer until mid-2028, has a market value estimated at around eight million, but it is thought that such a fee will not be sufficient to complete his transfer from Club Brugge. The Belgium U21 international has 10 caps and 3 goals at that level, and in 9 Jupiler Pro League appearances this season he has scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists.
