Roméo Lavia leaving Chelsea?
Chelsea is considering letting Roméo Lavia leave in the summer due to concerns over his physical condition and frequent injuries. Despite recognizing his talent, Chelsea is willing to sell or loan him with a purchase option, especially with the arrival of new midfielders Dario Essugo, Kendry Paez, and the return of Andrey Santos. Chelsea is asking for around 50 million euros, although this would be a loss compared to what they paid two years ago. Two Premier League clubs have expressed interest in Lavia.
Chelsea are reportedly making Romeo Lavia available for £45m this summer after his disappointing spell at Stamford Bridge. Lavia has struggled with injury problems during his time at Chelsea. Two unnamed Premier League clubs are said to be showing interest in signing him.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is considering sacrificing Romeo Lavia due to his injury issues. Lavia has been unreliable because of a thigh muscle problem and a previous hamstring concern. Despite being signed for €62 million from Southampton in 2023, he has managed just 11 appearances for Chelsea.
Romeo Lavia might be included in the list of players Chelsea needs to offload in January due to their excessively large squad.
