Roggerio Nyakossi, a 22-year-old Swiss centre-back from Leuven, is one of four candidates being considered by Borussia Mönchengladbach to replace Nico Elvedi. The club is seeking a successor as Elvedi is close to being sold to Leeds United for a fee of around ten million euros. Sources including BBC Football confirmed this deal on Sunday. The entire sum from Elvedi's sale is expected to be reinvested in a direct replacement. Nyakossi has 10 caps for the Switzerland U21 team, a contract with Leuven until 2027 and a current Transfermarkt market value of €5.00m. Several other clubs, including Olympique Marseille, Everton, and VfB Stuttgart, have also been linked with the defender.
