Rodrigo Fernández Cedrés Transfer from Santos to Independiente

According to TYC, Rodrigo Fernández Cedrés' loan at Independiente from Santos has ended, and his contract with Santos has also concluded. Independiente intends to offer him a contract to continue under Gustavo Quinteros, who considers the midfielder a priority. An agreement has not been reached at present due to economic differences.

TYC reports that the management of Independiente has started talks to retain Rodrigo Fernández Cedrés, and that he is one of Gustavo Quinteros' requests for 2026. The Uruguayan midfielder is on loan from Santos until December 31st and will have his transfer rights starting January 1st.

According to TYC, Independiente's directors intend to make an offer to Rodrigo Fernández Cedrés so he can continue playing for the club. The player, who is on loan from Santos, has a contract with Peixe that is expiring.

Rodrigo Fernández Cedrés is currently on loan at Independiente from Santos and will become a free agent in December when his contract with the Brazilian club concludes. It has been reported that Independiente's management intends to make a formal offer to retain the midfielder, whose continued presence is a priority for the coaching staff. However, Independiente may face competition, as Olimpia of Paraguay is also monitoring the player's situation and could compete to sign him in the next transfer window.
