FC Porto was interested in Richard Ríos but reportedly withdrew from the race.

ESPN BR has reported that Porto is showing interest in Richard Ríos after his impressive performance in the Mundial de Clubes. Porto's interest in Ríos has heightened, particularly following his strong display against them during the tournament. However, Palmeiras is determined to retain the player unless a significant offer is presented. The Portuguese club's interest grew after Ríos emerged as one of the standout players in the goalless draw between Porto and Palmeiras, which occurred on June 15th in the first round of Group A matches. Despite this, Palmeiras' president, Leila Pereira, stated that the club has no intention of negotiating for the Colombian midfielder, considering him indispensable to the team. Ríos' contract, which was recently extended until 2028, includes a release clause of 100 million euros, a condition Palmeiras insists must be fulfilled for any transfer to take place. The club previously turned down a 23 million euro offer, underscoring their strong desire to keep the player.
