Quentin Merlin Transfer from Olympique Marseille to Rennes
Rennes is looking to sign Quentin Merlin as a replacement for Adrien Truffert, who was transferred to Bournemouth for 17 million euros. It has been reported that discussions have started with Medhi Benatia, the sporting director of Olympique de Marseille. Olympique de Marseille is said to be open to offers, having already secured the left-back position by signing Facundo Medina. Quentin Merlin was originally acquired by Olympique de Marseille from Nantes in January 2024 for a fee of 12 million euros. Rennes has reportedly reached out to Marseille to negotiate the transfer, as Bournemouth, which purchased Truffert, had earlier expressed interest in Merlin during the transfer market.
