Newly promoted Serie A club Frosinone has made an initial inquiry with Parma regarding the terms of a potential deal for Pontus Almqvist. Frosinone is targeting the 27-year-old Swedish attacking winger because they are looking for a player with experience in the league. Almqvist has prior experience in Italy with Lecce and Parma, and a transfer to Frosinone would represent his third club in the country. His contract with Parma is valid until June 2027, and according to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.80m. Additionally, Almqvist has made five appearances for the Sweden U21 team, during which he scored two goals. Palermo has also been recently associated with an interest in the player.
