According to the Italian press, newly-promoted Serie A club Frosinone is closely monitoring FCSB's 26-year-old Romanian international Daniel Bîrligea. FCSB owner Gigi Becali stated earlier in the season that he had received and rejected a €5 million offer for the forward from a foreign club, requesting €6 million. Becali later said that those negotiations had stalled. He also mentioned that the player's agent in Italy had spoken with an interested party and that there had been an inquiry from Arabia. The FCSB owner remains open to selling Bîrligea this summer. In the 2025/2026 SuperLiga season, Bîrligea has scored 3 goals in 6 appearances.
