Mundo Deportivo has reported on the loan transfer of 22-year-old Pelayo Fernández Balboa to Cádiz. Pelayo Fernández Balboa will join Cádiz on loan from Rayo Vallecano until the end of the season. The Galician defender lacks experience in the Segunda División, having mostly played in the Primera RFEF with Barcelona's reserve team. Cádiz announced on Monday the incorporation of the central defender, who has played 42 matches across two seasons in the Primera RFEF for Barcelona's B team. His contract with his parent club, Rayo Vallecano, is set to expire in June 2028, and according to Transfermarkt, his market value is €500k. Racing Santander had also been linked with the defender.
