Roberts is a 29-year-old English winger, a former Sunderland player of Mowbray's, whose game time at Birmingham City has diminished. According to Alan Nixon via Patreon, it is claimed that Mowbray intends to use the loan market before the September 1st transfer deadline to strengthen his squad. Roberts joined Birmingham on a permanent deal in January after an initial loan from Sunderland and was an unused substitute in the opening game of the Championship season. His contract with Birmingham is set to expire in June 2028. His current market value is €4.00m, according to Transfermarkt. Roberts has also represented England at the U20 level, earning 9 caps and scoring 4 goals.
