Marca has reported that Aris is one of the teams showing interest in acquiring Pape Abou Cisse. The Senegalese central defender is currently a free agent after his brief tenure at Al Shamal in Qatar. He is in search of a new club, and Aris is among those showing interest. Standing at 1.97 meters, the tall defender has also attracted interest from other clubs such as Getafe and Oviedo, as well as teams from Russia. Previously, Aris had shown interest in Cisse last season, even reaching a preliminary agreement, but the deal fell through despite Cisse traveling to Thessaloniki for medical examinations. Moreover, there were similar links between Cisse and AEK. Cisse started his career in Greece with Olympiacos in 2017, where he played 151 matches and won two championships and a cup before departing in 2023, which included a loan period at Saint-Étienne.
