Oskar Pietuszewski, a 17-year-old Jagiellonia Białystok player, has previously stated his ambition to one day play for FC Barcelona, his favorite foreign club. Amid speculation that the Polish international will likely seek a new club after the season, Wojciech Kowalczyk has commented that a move to the team managed by Hansi Flick would be an excellent decision. Kowalczyk also stated on Twitter that Flick could develop Pietuszewski into a Ballon d'Or winner, a change from his previous advice that the player should not yet consider a transfer and instead focus on gaining experience. The winger's contract with his current club expires on June 30, 2027, but includes an option for a one-year extension. Pietuszewski joined Jagiellonia in July 2024 and has also been linked with clubs such as Chelsea and Beşiktaş. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €8.00m.
