Real Madrid have been offered the opportunity to sign Celta Vigo's 26-year-old Spanish defender Óscar Mingueza. According to Defensa Central, the club is considering signing the former Barcelona player on a free transfer in the summer. The Daily Mail reports that Newcastle United have also been offered Mingueza, who has entered the final six months of his contract. The same publication adds that Aston Villa and West Ham United are also interested, and that an immediate transfer could be completed for a fee of £8 million. Mingueza has been capped four times by Spain and has made 15 appearances in LaLiga this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists. Throughout 2025, a release clause of €20 million was consistently reported.
