Portsmouth are reportedly close to an agreement for Odin Bailey, a 26-year-old free agent who left Stockport County this summer when his contract expired. Sam Byrne reports that Bailey is set for a move to the south coast club. This follows the player being linked with several other teams. Byrne had also been the source for an earlier reported link to Lincoln City, while Sheffield Star reporter Alex Miller had suggested Sheffield Wednesday had placed Bailey on a recruitment longlist. Huddersfield Town and other clubs were also said to be interested, but Portsmouth now appear to have moved ahead to secure the player, offering him a way to return to the Championship. The English-Jamaican attacking midfielder joined Stockport in January 2024 and has one cap for England at the U16 level. His current Transfermarkt market value is €500k.
