Rangers have made a move for Real Betis youngster Nobel Mendy, a 20-year-old defender. The Senegal-born defender joined Betis from Paris FC 12 months ago but made just five outings last season. Transfer guru Matteo Moretto reports that Rangers have joined the race to sign him, with Rayo Vallecano considered their main rivals for his signature. Additionally, Club Brugge and FC Basel have also expressed interest in Mendy, intensifying the competition for his acquisition. Mendy's contract with the Spanish club runs until June 2027, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €4.00m.
