The Castellón club announced on Tuesday that American-Filipino winger Nick Markanich is returning to his country to play on loan for Houston Dynamo in the MLS, the top tier of US football. The 26-year-old will be loaned for the entire 2026 calendar year. Markanich had originally joined Castellón from Charleston of the USL Championship and played in twenty-five matches for the club, scoring two goals. His contract with CD Castellón is valid until June 30, 2027, and his current market value is €500k, according to Transfermarkt. In the current LaLiga2 season, he has made 11 appearances and has not scored a goal or provided an assist.
