Nahuel Ferraresi Transfer from São Paulo to Botafogo

According to a report from ESPN BR, Botafogo has ended talks with São Paulo for defender Ferraresi. Negotiations between the clubs had intensified at the end of December but became less active in recent days. The two teams did not reach an agreement regarding the players involved in a 'mega swap', and the delay led Botafogo to withdraw from the negotiations. Consequently, Ferraresi will remain at Morumbis and is available to coach Hernán Crespo for the season.

According to Globo.com, Botafogo nearly signed Nahuel Ferraresi from Sao Paulo but did not reach an agreement with the São Paulo team regarding a player exchange.

São Paulo and Botafogo have been in negotiations for weeks regarding the transfer of Ferraresi as part of a player exchange. The deal, which was initially considered the easiest to conclude, is currently stalled. According to ge, people involved in the talks between the clubs said that the agreement was believed to be the simplest to arrange, but it is now blocked.

Negotiations are underway with two players to strengthen Botafogo, one of whom is São Paulo defender Ferraresi. While the players have Davide's approval, they were not directly recommended by the coach.

Botafogo has made progress in signing São Paulo defender Nahuel Ferraresi, with only final contract adjustments pending before an official announcement. The clubs agreed on the financial terms last Wednesday and decided to proceed with the negotiation, which is close to being concluded. An agreement is already in place between the player and the Rio de Janeiro-based team regarding the salary and clauses of the new contract. As indicated in the initial talks, the transfer is likely to involve players from Botafogo's squad, but the names and details have not yet been revealed.

According to ESPN BR, Botafogo's offer for Ferraresi was for a loan with a fixed purchase value of 5 million euros.

Botafogo has formalized an offer to sign defender Nahuel Ferraresi. The club proposed a loan with a fixed purchase option. According to ESPN, negotiations for Ferraresi's arrival are at a more advanced stage than those for Pablo Maia.

Ferraresi has a more advanced situation compared to Pablo Maia. The Venezuelan has already approved a potential move and is compatible with the financial situation of the club from Rio de Janeiro.

According to ESPN BR, Botafogo made a preliminary approach to Ferraresi. The Rio de Janeiro team intends to have him on loan, but the amounts have not yet been discussed and São Paulo has not responded to Botafogo on the matter.

ESPN reports that there is interest from Botafogo in Nahuel Ferraresi. According to ESPN, any move for the Venezuelan is currently superficial and has not reached the stage of an inquiry to the club about possible negotiation terms. Ferraresi is considered one of Hernan Crespo's trusted players and is part of the coach's plans for 2026. However, he is not considered non-transferable if a significant offer comes in for the club and the player.

Botafogo has made an inquiry in recent days for São Paulo's Nahuel Ferraresi, a 27-year-old Venezuelan-Italian defender who has 42 caps for the Venezuelan national team. São Paulo, which is undergoing a squad overhaul, is reportedly open to player exits, provided they are for significant fees or involve a player exchange. Ferraresi, who has been with the club since 2022, has a contract until the end of 2027 and a current market value of €5.00m, according to Transfermarkt. The search for a right-sided defender is a priority for Botafogo, which previously had a proposal for Grêmio's Viery rejected.
