Hamburger SV is monitoring 22-year-old German-Turkish player Muhammed Damar from TSG Hoffenheim as a potential alternative if they cannot sign Fábio Vieira. Sky reports that HSV is one of the clubs observing the offensive player, who is unhappy with his situation at Hoffenheim and is seeking a summer transfer. The same source states that Hoffenheim is willing to negotiate for a fee starting at five million euros. SC Freiburg has also recently shown interest in Damar, whose contract is valid until 2029. The midfielder, who has six caps for Germany's U21 team, made 15 appearances in the Bundesliga in the 2025/2026 season. He joined Hoffenheim in July 2022 for a reported €500,000.
