Reports from Turkish media suggesting Super Lig side Trabzonspor are interested in English winger Morgan Whittaker, 25, have been downplayed. Trabzonspor has not yet made an approach for the forward, and any interest is not considered to be at a serious stage. It is not believed that Middlesbrough are seeking to sell Whittaker, who was the team's top scorer in his first full season. A potential transfer is also considered doubtful because of Middlesbrough's valuation of the player, which is understood to be significantly higher than the Turkish club's record transfer fee of £7.5 million. In the 2025/2026 Championship season, Whittaker scored 14 goals and provided 7 assists in 40 appearances. The forward, who has one cap for England U20, has a contract until June 2029 and a current market value of €18.00m according to Transfermarkt.
