According to TYC, Milton Valenzuela has rescinded his contract with Independiente and will continue his career at Atlas de México. The club is coached by Diego Cocca. Valenzuela arrived at Independiente in mid-2025 after the departure of Álvaro Angulo. He served as a replacement for Facundo Zabala, who became the starter. Valenzuela had six months left on his contract.

The 27-year-old Argentinian-American left-back, Milton Valenzuela, will terminate his contract with Independiente by mutual agreement. It is reported that Valenzuela received offers from Liga MX and MLS. Valenzuela joined the club in July 2025 and made eight domestic appearances during the 2025/2026 season.
