Mihail Polendakov leaving Sheffield United?
Mihail Polendakov, an 18-year-old Bulgarian right-back, is available on a permanent transfer this winter market. He, Christian Nwachukwu, and Ehije Ukaki were signed as part of Sheffield United's AI-led recruitment strategy after he joined the club in July 2025. The three summer signings have not made a single appearance in the league this season, and it is understood that they are all now available on the market. Sheffield United are reportedly willing to listen to offers for this quartet of out-of-favour players this month after they have struggled to impress. Sheffield United are believed to be keen to move on from their summer spending, and have decided that all four players could be sold for the right price before the 2 February deadline. The other three could remain at Bramall Lane, unless moves back to Bulgaria are possible. Polendakov, who has nine caps for the Bulgaria U21 national team, has a contract with the club until June 2028 and a current Transfermarkt market value of €600k.
