According to Sky Germany, Michael Noonan has rejected the chance to join Bundesliga side Hoffenheim this window, as his family have rejected the proposed transfer, preferring to remain at Shamrock Rovers.

Hoffenheim are the primary club pursuing Michael Noonan, who has been tracked by Celtic over multiple transfer windows. Hoffenheim have submitted multiple bids, none of which have met Shamrock Rovers’ valuation. Following a month of negotiations, there had been an expectation that the clubs would reach an agreement. However, Boss Stephen Bradley revealed he expects Noonan to stay at the club this month, adding that he imagines the player will be there for the game against Dundalk next Friday.

Two bids from the German club were rejected, but their offer of €1.8m up front has been accepted. The report states that the decision is now with the player. He could wait until the summer for a move to the UK, as he turns 18 at the end of July.
