According to Fabrizio Romano, 17-year-old Irish striker Michael Noonan is in advanced talks to join TSG Hoffenheim, despite Celtic presenting a bid within the last 24 hours. Celtic has had an interest in the Shamrock Rovers player for a significant period and it was previously reported that the club was optimistic about signing him amid interest from clubs "down south". Manchester City also had an interest in Noonan in 2024 before he chose to move from St Patrick’s Athletic to his current club, which he joined in January 2025.
The striker, who does not turn 18 until July, is unable to join a team outside of Ireland until the summer at the earliest. His contract with the Irish club runs until November 2026, and he has been capped three times for the Ireland U21 team, scoring one goal. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €400k.
