Micah Hamilton Transfer from Middlesbrough to Northampton Town

Middlesbrough are reportedly willing to listen to offers for English winger Micah Hamilton, who was signed from Manchester City's academy in 2024 for a fee of around £2 million, according to The Northern Echo. The same outlet revealed that Boro are open to the 22-year-old leaving during the current window because the winter arrivals of Jeremy Sarmiento and Leo Castledine lowered his position in the team's hierarchy. Northampton Town could be a suitable destination, as they use a 3-4-3 setup with traditional wingers. The Cobblers need to replace the attacking contribution of striker Ethan Wheatley, who was recalled by Manchester United after scoring three goals and providing three assists in 22 appearances. While Hamilton would not be a direct replacement, he could help compensate for the lost attacking contribution. It is not yet clear if Middlesbrough are seeking a loan or a permanent sale, but their desire to transfer Hamilton may provide interested clubs with an advantage in securing a deal. The England U20 international, who has two caps, is under contract until June 2028 and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €2.50m; he has made four appearances in the Championship this season.
