Rangers are considering a move for Motherwell left-back Emmanuel Longelo, with whom the club was previously linked when he was at West Ham United. Longelo is seeking to depart Motherwell before the transfer window closes and is viewed as one of the main options for the left-back position at Rangers. Talks could also evolve in the coming days. The interest in the 25-year-old English defender exists despite Rangers having already acquired James Penrice on loan, and their other left-back, Tuur Rommens, is currently injured. The transfer window in Scotland closes at 5pm on Thursday. Longelo joined Motherwell in July 2025 and his contract is set to expire in May 2027. His current market value is €1.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
