Argentinian centre-back Maximiliano Zelaya, 29, is among the players considered expendable by coach Gustavo Álvarez. Zelaya joined San Lorenzo in February 2024, and his departure from the club depends on its activity in the transfer market. If the club does not sign new players for those positions and Zelaya does not find a new club, it is very possible he could return to the team. His contract with the club runs until the end of 2027.
