Matt O'Riley joined Marseille on a season-long loan from Brighton last summer, with the deal containing no obligation to buy. It was reported in France and Italy last month that Marseille are now keen to make his loan move permanent. His former club Celtic are interested in the situation, as they inserted a 10 per cent sell-on clause into the £25 million deal that took him to Brighton.
