Mats Deijl Transfer from Go Ahead Eagles to Feyenoord

FR12 reports that Feyenoord have made their interest in Mats Deijl concrete and have submitted an opening bid to Go Ahead Eagles. The management of Mats Deijl is aware of Feyenoord's interest. It is reported that a personal agreement will not be difficult, as Mats Deijl is reportedly open to a move to De Kuip. It is expected that the involved parties will reach an agreement on a multi-year contract. RTV Oost reports that the deal could progress quickly and that Go Ahead Eagles will not block a move to Feyenoord.

According to FR12, Feyenoord is preparing a first offer for Mats Deijl. The club is seeking additional right-back options because Givairo Read is unavailable until at least March and Bart Nieuwkoop is also injured, leaving Jordan Lotomba as the only available player for the position. Deijl is a 28-year-old Dutch captain and a regular starter for Go Ahead Eagles, and is considered an experienced option. It was previously reported that Deijl had a wish to advance his career after this season, and a transfer at this time would be sooner than expected. He is under contract at Go Ahead Eagles until mid-2028. The defender joined the club in July 2021 and has registered one goal and three assists in 19 Eredivisie appearances this season. His current market value on Transfermarkt is €2.00m.
